In just two days, you will reach the edge of the “Great Erg Oriental” and touch the characteristic reddish sand in the famous Ksar Ghilane oasis. What is more you will ride a camel, see rarely visited decorations from “Star Wars,” visit an underground house, take a walk through the Berber village hanging on the top of the mountain and admire the “moon landscape” of the desert mountains. You will see ancient granary villages and breathtaking landscapes. However, you will not encounter crowds of tourists because very few travellers reach these regions of Tunisia. You will also visit the largest amphitheatre in Africa and spend the night in a tent in an oasis located almost 100 km deep in the Sahara, where you will have opportunity to admire the starry Tunisian sky while bathing in a natural thermal lake. Berbers’ Land is an exclusive expedition, especially recommended for those who have already participated in the Sahara Explorer (or similar) tour and would like to see other regions of the Sahara that are not covered by the standard. The trip takes place only a few times a year. We recommend making reservations well in advance to increase the chances of forming a group.
Note that this tour is organised entirely by 4x4 vehicles.
